This website is to alert fellow historians and genealogists of Perry McIntyre’s publications and other activities including her involvement in research projects to do with Irish-Australian immigration in the 19th century. Some of her work, written with Dr Liz Rushen, is published by Anchor Books Australia – www.anchorbooksaustralia.com.au. Anchor Books Australia has also published the essential book on Irish emigration to Australian in the 19th century – Farewell My Children by Dr Richard Reid. Perry is the historian on the Great Irish Famine Commemoration Committee (GIFCC) which actively seeks information about Earl Grey’s Irish Workhouse Immigrant women. She also manages the website and welcomes contact with descendants about their workhouse orphans. Please visit www.irishfaminememorial.org. She is also an Adjunct Lecturer at University of New South Wales.
