Welcome,

This website is to alert fellow historians and genealogists of Perry McIntyre’s work and publications. Her work mainly involves Irish-Australian immigration in the 19th century, some of which was published by Anchor Books Australia which published books of Australian historical interest. This company is now closed and most books are now out of print. Until 2020, Perry was the historian on the Great Irish Famine Commemoration Committee (GIFCC) and she is actively working on the lives of the workhouse orphan girls. Emails are welcome to perry@irelandhome.com.au. On 26 January 2021 Perry was honoured with an AM in the General Division of the Order of Australia for significant service to history preservation and genealogy organisations.
